Conservation Special Projects Officer – Summer Student

Job Type: Temporary (4 months), full-time
Target Start Date: Mid-May
Grid and Wage: This is a union position with a classification of Scientific/Technical Officer (BCGEU Grid 9) with a compensation range of $26.07 – $29.40 per hour.

We are a non-profit foundation investing in habitat conservation projects across BC with an opening for a full-time Summer Student in our Conservation Special Projects Officer position. We are seeking an individual who is energetic, self-directed, and has a positive approach to their career, their work and their colleagues.

The Summer Student will be part of our Biology Team. This individual will take on a number of tasks and projects in order to advance HCTF’s mission and strategic plan. The focus will be on the conservation lands programs, but tasks may relate to other programs or initiatives as well. This position is based out of our Victoria office, and the individual must be able to work from the office multiple days per week. All applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
